Abid is a graduate of The Speech Studio in Edmonton, Alberta and obtained an Associate Designation in Speech and Drama from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Active in the arena of speech and debate from a young age, Abid has attended numerous speaking engagements and won awards at speaking festivals.
Professionally, Abid works as an Occupational Therapist with Continuing Care in Edmonton, Alberta. In his healthcare travels, he’s worked with diverse groups of people - from a young adult in his 30s who survived a sky-diving accident with multi-system trauma when his parachute got tangled, to a frail elderly lady one week before her 102nd birthday. As part of a collaborative team where communication affects lives, he has learned to be intentional, focused, and concise.
As an Occupational Therapist, he enters peoples’ lives when they’re the most vulnerable. By working on their goals and ambitions, he’s learned to adapt his communication style and approach when working in collaboration with patients and their families.

Abid hosts a variety of virtual workshops which allow for focused learning with like-minded peers. For individuals who are working on presentations and pitches, he also offers a two session workshop with the goal of strengthening your communicative and persuasive abilities in order to facilitate maximum exposure.
